ASEICA 40th ANNIVERSARY CONGRESS – A Coruña, 2023
A Coruña become the center of cancer research from November 13 to 16 2023 to celebrate the 40th ASEICA anniversary. The organizing committee for the 40th Anniversary Congress of ASEICA was composed of distinguished leaders in cancer research: Xosé Bustelo, Arkaitz Carracedo, Toni Celià-Terrassa, Miguel Fernández de Sanmamed, Rafael López, María D. Mayán, Gema Moreno-Bueno, and Marisol Soengas.
IYImeeting
IYI meeting is a conference organized by the CellCOM research group annually since 2010 in collaboration with different entities. It gets together national researchers that are working overseas taking advantage of the Christmas holidays. IYI meeting is an opportunity for young and senior researchers in different disciplines to meet, discuss and exchange ideas.
IGJC2022
The International Gap Junction Conference (IGJC) is held every two years alternating primarily between Europe and North America. The meeting brings together diverse international experts in the study of connexins, pannexins and innexins in different fields. In 2022 it was organized for the first time in Spain by an Executive Committee led by María Mayán.
Twinflag Meetings
Since the start of the Horizon CSA project, each partner has organized an annual meeting at their institute. We have already held three workshops (2023, 2024 and 2025), inviting internationally recognized researchers in EV biology, aging, and cancer research. The programs included discussion roundtables on transferable skills such as communication and knowledge transfer, and provided opportunities to engage with key stakeholders and industry representatives, including Zendal and Ingeneys. Science Xpression
Science Xpression is an annual international workshop organized by the CellCOM group that brings together international researchers in the field of cellular communication mediated by connexins, pannexins and extracellular vesicles. This workshop is been organised by the CellCOM group since 2012.
